Rose Coloured Glasses

Life isn’t always peachy. Let’s face it. We all struggle and have challenges daily. Life is busy and stressful and we all multitask to the max.

We are spread so thin and wear so many different hats at once. We worry about cooking, cleaning, making sure everyone gets places on time, working, everyone eats well, we get enough sleep, exercise, watch our budgets and keep the peace.

One thing I can tell you however, is that how you deal with the craziness of life depends on your environment, your family and friends and the attitude of those around you.

I know that if I’m around negative, demanding and draining people it’s very easy to lose faith in myself and abilities and my spirit is almost broken. Now I don’t know about you, but I don’t like that feeling.

Have you ever been around someone who is kind and caring and can never do enough for you? Someone who listen, encourages you and is genuinely nice? Right about now I’m thinking I need to clone my lovely Mum if you don’t have that person in your life.

Kindness and positive energy is contagious. Whether it’s a little or a lot it all still counts. What I can tell you is that it’s a whole lot better to feel happy and look forward to things than it does to feel sad, negative and think poorly of everyone. Negative energy is downright depressing and simply soul destroying.

I’m not saying to wear rose coloured glasses everywhere because that simply won’t work. It is not achievable and not realistic. I am saying pay attention to those around you and be aware of where you’d like to be, who you’d like to be around and where your energy feels best.

Be that one person who gives someone a compliment instead of cricitizing them, smile at a stranger and wish the cashier at the supermarket a nice day.

You’d be surprised that by even making positive changes in your day, you rub off on yourself!

Keep smiling and let’s start Monday right!
