Basic Bliss Balls



  3 cups of pitted dates

  1 cup sunflower seeds

  1 cup pepita seeds (pumpkin seeds)

  1⁄2 cup desiccated coconut (plus a bit extra to roll balls in)

  3 heaped tbsp cacao powder OR cocoa powder OR 1⁄4 cup finely chopped dark chocolate if that is all you have

  3 tbsp coconut cream

  2 tbsp coconut oil


  1. Blitz your seeds, coconut and dates together in 2-3 small batches. Stir in your cacao or chocolate and then mix in your coconut oil and coconut cream well.

  2. Your mix should be a little sticky. Roll your balls about as big as a ten cent piece, then roll in coconut, place on a tray lined with baking paper and then freeze.

  3. Once set then place into an airtight container lined with baking paper. I store in freezer (out of sight and out of mind!).
